I’ve been playing golf for over 20 years, and like most golfers, I’ve bought it all — drivers, irons, putters, the whole bag. And honestly, in the past few years, I’ve grown bored. Every release feels the same. A few new buzzwords, a bit of ‘AI tech,’ maybe a tweak in design — but nothing truly fresh. Nothing with that ‘wow’ factor.

My love for creating started long before golf. As a kid, I watched my father — a product designer — take ideas from sketches to styrofoam prototypes. By the time I was six, I was carving my own 3D models, fascinated by the process of turning imagination into reality. That was my childhood dream: to invent, to build, to bring ideas to life.

In my twenties, a different dream took hold. I gave up a six-figure engineering career to chase professional golf. I worked as a bag boy at a country club, practiced until 10pm every night, and fought my way from a 25 handicap down to a 7. Injuries cut that dream short, but the game gave me discipline, joy, and community. It’s still the sport I love most.

Now, at 40, I have the rare chance to combine both dreams. With InDesign Products, I have the tools and the machines to invent again — and I’ve brought that creativity into golf.
